Tami Wright

With a heavy heart we announce the passing of our loving mother Tami Wright at the age of 61. She went to be with the Lord May 4, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Tami was born on September 18, 1962, in Waverly, IA, to Willard D. Feltus and Eleanor Noah, the second youngest of 8 children. Tami spent much of her younger life in Charles City, IA. She was close to her stepmother Lila who helped Tami develop her selfless and loving character.

Tami married the father of her children in 1981. They moved to Arizona in 1986, and Tami raised her 2 children in Ahwatukee; here, she followed a teaching career path that allowed her to be closer to her children. She dedicated 23 years at Horizon Honors in various roles, where she impacted countless lives of students and staff.

Tami loved to go garage saling, thrift shopping, and watching the Phoenix Suns. Her most treasured hobby was being with her 2 children and 5 grandchildren. Tami had a special gift of truly being present and enjoying the people she was around. She was selfless and had the amazing ability of loving others perfectly as they were. Tami could find the silver lining in any situation. She had a keen wit about her and a contagious laugh, which will be greatly missed.

Tami is preceded in death by her parents, Eleanor (Mickey) and Wendell Noah, Willard and Lila Feltus, sister-in-law Dee Feltus, and brothers-in-law Greg Marzen and Mike Shaw.

Tami is survived by 1 brother Shawn Feltus; 6 sisters Jane Ferch, Anne (Don) McWilliams, Mary Lou Shaw, Celia Feltus (Randy Sorrenson), Ruth (Greg) Hallett, Amy (Randy) Rosser; her children Shane (Celeste) Wright, Lexi (Brennan) Cruz; and 5 grandchildren Ava (10), Hayden (7), Connor (5), Kyah (2) and Daniel (4mos.).

Her Memorial Service will be held at 4:30pm on Thursday May 11, 2023 at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Chapel located at 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler AZ, 85225.  Services and reception are open to family, close friends and school faculty.
