Sandra (Sandy) Ruth Haney
went home to Heaven on December 7, 2018 at the age of 76 in Mesa, Arizona. She waged a courageous 30-month battle with a glioblastoma brain tumor.
Sandra is survived by her loving sister Margaret (Peggy) Haney and Shiloh, the Collie she deeply loved. She was preceded in death by her parents John Edward Haney and Edith Virginia Jenks Haney.
Sandra was born on June 4, 1942 in Rochester, PA and graduated from Rochester High School in 1960.Upon graduation, the family moved to Fredericksburg, VA where she attended Mary Washington College. In 1968, the family moved to Mesa, AZ where Sandy became an office manager for a developer and later a paralegal for a local law firm.
Sandra was an accomplished pianist and organist at a very young age. Even as a teen she played for a dance studio and various churches. Along with her sister, she was devoted to and cared for many collies over the years.
The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses at Barrows Neurological and the caregivers at Armada Group Homes.
