Rebecca (Becky) Taylor Tramundanas, age 60, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021. Becky was born on December 13, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, to Stanley K. Taylor and Joanne C. Taylor.
Becky was raised in Dallas, TX, attending elementary and high school there, except her sophomore year which was spent in Laie, HI, where she attended Kahuku High School. As a teenager, she began her lifelong love of babysitting. She was a 3-sport athlete in high school. In 1983, she moved to Arizona where she began working with the Circle K Corporation, becoming a successful store manager. She married Ted Tramundanas in 1986 and was happy to help mother Kathy, Andy, and Christina. Shortly after her marriage, Becky obtained employment with Mesa Public Schools in order to have her schedule match those of the kids. Becky was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her favorite calling at church was teaching the younger children in Primary. She loved children, and children loved her. She was well known for handing out packs of gum to the children at church.
Becky was a much-loved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, cousin, and friend, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by children Kathy Dunkel (Sean), Andrew, and Christina Morataya (Jorge); her mother Joanne C. Taylor, siblings Jeffrey C. Taylor (Jeanette), Judy, Jennifer, and Zachary; 3 grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends. Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore G. Tramundanas, and her father, Stanley K. Taylor.
Funeral services to honor her life will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 1000am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3770 S. Cooper Rd, Chandler, AZ, 85249, with visitation prior from 830am – 930am. There will also be a viewing on Friday, January 7, 2022, from 600-800pm at Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Dr., Chandler AZ. Interment will follow the funeral service at City of Mesa Cemetery.
