Ray Lee Patterson

passed away on Dec 31, 2020. He was born September 10, 1926 in Goodyear Arizona to Lee Patterson and Maud Fuller Patterson. He grew up on a farm during the great depression. He was the baby of the family and was preceded in death by all 5 of his siblings. He served in the US Air Force as a mechanic during World War II.  He used the skills he learned during his service for the rest of his life, owning service stations, mechanic shops and used car dealerships. Fixing up and working on autos was his main hobby.

Ray married Gayla Carter 75 years ago, on December 26, 1945. Their marriage was solemnized in the LDS temple in Mesa, Arizona on November 24, 1996. Gayla passed away four months ago, September 03, 2020. Ray is survived by three sons, Rex [Kathy], Rand [Lynette], Wade, and by 7 grandchildren, 20  great- grandchildren, 2 great- great- grandchildren and was preceded in death by one grandson.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2pm, January 8th at the Mesa Cemetery, 1212 North Center Street, Mesa, Arizona 85201.
