She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Howard Carter, Sr.; parents Edward James Porter and Sadie Bailey Porter; sisters Gloria Porter-Carver, Deborah Porter Stevens, and Betty Porter; and niece Jessica P. Porter.
Patty is survived by her three children Jesse H. Carter, Jr. & spouse Mary Carter, Amy Carter Fulmer & spouse Kevin R. Fulmer, and Emily Carter Smith & spouse Shane W. Smith; daughter-in-law Michelle Carter Adkins; grandchildren Austin Brian Carter, Tabitha Carter Lindsey & spouse Malachi Aaron Lindsey, Caleb Michael Carter, Peyton H Fulmer, Lauren Emily Fulmer, Nola Grace Smith, and Wyatt James Smith; great grandson Kai Aaron Lindsey; and brothers Eddie James Porter and Donald Ray Porter.
