In loving Memor
William Clayton St. Amour
1
943–2019
On July 11th, 2019, at the age of 76, William “Bill” St. Armour passed away with his wife, Lucy, by his side.
He will be supremely missed by his wife and best friend of 52 years, Lucy. He was a proud father of Alexa, William II (Billy), and Chris. And he cherished his role as a grandfather—lovingly known as “Poppy”—to McKenna, Mason, Amelia (Mia), and Maleah.
Born in New York, before moving to Arizona in 1972, Bill spent his life as a hardworking, dedicated, faithful and loving man. Known as a someone who would give the shirt off his back.
From the ripe age of 17, he honorably served in three branches of the U.S. Armed Forces: the Navy, the Army, and the Air Force. He was a POW survivor during the Vietnam War, and still loved these United States of America.
In the years following, he became the successful owner of an air freight company in Phoenix, AZ for many years.
And perhaps the most fulfilling of his life’s achievements, was the beautiful family he built with his loving wife, Lucy. He was proud and honored to be the patriarch, father, and grandfather to our family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clement and Eleanor; his sister Carol. He is survived by his wife, Lucy; brother Clement (Sonny); sister-in-law Nona; his three children, and his four grandchildren.
Bill will be fondly remembered for his beautiful blue eyes, loving embrace, caring and giving heart, and the arsenal of jokes he shared. Any room he walked into, he would bring laughter and happiness. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and everyone who was blessed to have known him.
His life was well lived and he was well loved! And although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is with our Father in heaven. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, 2716 N. Dobson Road, Suite 101 Chandler, AZ 85224. At 10:00am, July 18th, 2019. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations to Lucy, the wonderful wife of the late Bill St. Armour, to help with finances. (GoFundMe:
