William Casley Killgallon, II, born on February 10, 1970, in Bryan, Ohio passed away on October 8, 2024, in Gold Canyon, AZ leaving behind a legacy marked by courage, service, and an indomitable spirit.
Will graduated from Hillsdale College in 1992 where he majored in Military History and was the TKE Fraternity President for two years. He dedicated his early life to serving his country in the US Navy and trained as a Navy Seal. After the Navy, Will transitioned to an impactful career in the Secret Service and Department of Defense, where he served for over a decade, protecting those in power and demonstrating his unwavering commitment to duty and country. He was involved in various special operations, intelligence, and protection leadership roles in the Secret Service and DOD as well as being a certified paramedic.
Will left the DOD in 2014 for the private sector to create the Global Threat Management Team at Twitter, Inc. After Twitter, his career continued to flourish as he became a recognized expert in security, counterintelligence, and crisis management. He held executive positions at Symantec, Veritas, GE Digital and was a founding leader for a wealth management firm working with the world’s leading crypto, blockchain and DeFi entrepreneurs and investors. He continued his advanced education at the Naval War College and the Joint Special Operations University. He also attended Cornell University, ILR School; MIT Sloan School of Management and Johns-Hopkins University at the graduate level. He served on the boards of several startup companies helping them identify and manage technology, regulatory, and operational risk – especially in the areas of Privacy, Resiliency, Protective Operations, and Cybersecurity.
Will's life was characterized by adventure and service, but he was also known for his warmth, humor, and kindness. He was a beloved friend, mentor, and family member who touched the lives of many. In addition to his service to others, Will had a deep devotion to art and literature and was an accomplished artist and a prolific reader and writer of poetry. He also loved the outdoors and spent endless hours hiking, scuba diving, and biking.
He was a devoted supporter of the following organizations: Law Enforcement United, Green Beret Foundation, SEAL Family Foundation, Special Forces Foundation, National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, and the USSSA (United States Secret Service Association).
Will is survived by his wife of 15 years, Robin Berry, his parents Bill and Susan Killgallon, his brother Paul Killgallon, his sisters Carrie Kim, Lauren Seitz and Elena West, his beloved nieces and nephews Brady Killgallon, Aidan Kim, Ella Killgallon, Jaclyn Killgallon, Olivia Kim, Thomas Seitz and Kaitlin Seitz. They will cherish his memory and the many stories of his extraordinary life. He was preceded in death by his brother David Killgallon.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Law Enforcement United (leunited.org), Green Beret Foundation (greenberetfoundation.org), or the SEAL Family Foundation (sealfamilyfoundation.org) reflecting Will's commitment to service.
A Memorial Service celebrating his life is planned for the future.
