Vincent “Vinny” Anthony Cimino

Vincent “Vinny” Anthony Cimino

of Chandler, AZ, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2022, at the age of 85, after a courageous and prolonged battle with cancer, in which he

out-lived

his doctor’s expectations 3-times over. He was born June 2, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY, to Cono and Maria, the last of 10 siblings but

certainly

not the least!

While working for the USPS in 1958, Vinny met his soulmate, Josephine Bavuso, in Canarsie, NY. He started a new career as a flooring contractor in 1960, married his beloved “Josie” and began what turned out to be a

wondrous

62 year love affair. Together they raised two children, Vincent Jr. (Marianne) and Christopher, and moved to Syosset, NY in

1

968. There, in addition to caring for, loving and nurturing his family, he started a very successful contracting business where he continued his

45-year

quest to cover New York City in flooring and window treatments!

He retired in 2006 and continued doing his favorite things, traveling, golfing, fishing, gardening, singing with the Huntington Men’s Cho

rus

and keeping his family and friends laughing with an always comical sense of humor. He and Josephine moved to Chandler in 2008 where they continued to enjoy a full, but much more relaxed retirement in the glorious sun of Arizona. There he completed, as his wife proclaimed, the June trifecta of being hatched, matched and dispatched all in the month of June!

In addition to his wife and children, Vincent

is

survived

by his loving grandchildren, Vincent III, Christina, Christopher and James, and predeceased by his first and beloved

granddaughter

, Christa.
