Timothy Lloyd Gunn, Jr. (TJ)

TJ Gunn, was born in Dallas, Texas on April 14, 1978. He died unexpectedly on January 23, 2020, at the age of 41. He grew up in Allen, Texas and Gilbert, Arizona where he had so many friends and relatives.

TJ is survived by his wife Tracy, as well as his seven children, Jasmine, Robert, Lacey, Ethan, Lexie, Roy, Liam, his parents, Janell and John, his siblings, Niki, Steve, and Mike, his nieces and nephews, as well as TJ’s 15 yr old dog “Shot.” He is also survived by his paternal and maternal relatives on both the Reynold’s and Gunn’s extended side of the family.  This includes grandparents Martin and Yvonne Reynolds, as well as the multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

TJ and Tracy have seven beautiful, energetic and loving children.  TJ had an amazing ability to embrace the dynamics of each child’s unique personality.  He loved, guided and supported each one individually, which influenced the people they are today. TJ’s number one priority was his children, he worked hard, every single day to always make sure he provided everything his family needed.  As a husband he was truly the most loving, supportive, thoughtful man and bestfriend. His love was unconditional, and unwavering.

TJ, or “Timmy 2 Gunns”, was a proud U.S. Marine veteran, he served in the U. S. Marine Corp from 1998-2002, at Cherry Point, NC. He held onto many great friendships with his fellow Marines and kept in touch with them until this day. He was so very proud to have served as a Marine for our country and had maintained his friendships with so many amazing men and women throughout the years.  “Semper Fi oorah”

When TJ was at Gilbert High School, he was always surrounded by friends who loved him.  Those friendships continue to grow throughout the years, especially with his best friend Wes.  Wes took the journey to escort TJ home, embodying the depth of his commitment and friendship by bringing him home to his family.

To be around TJ was to be instantly energized, his charismatic personality, contagious smile and tight hugs would bring calmness to your soul.  He loved the outdoors, being in his truck, working out, hunting, camping, but most of all he loved his family and friends. We will all miss TJ, who was a son, a father, a husband, a brother, uncle, godfather, cousin, nephew, grandson, and a friend.
