“Coach Steve” grew up in Chandler, AZ with the help of many extended families of the community. He established a career with Bashas’ Markets for over 20 years all the while coaching the sport of baseball and basketball. His lifelong passion for golf; he taught his son the gentleman’s game and they strove to be great together.

Fond memories of long weekend barbecues/cookouts with family, road trips to California and Mexico to visit in-laws, Sunday Church, and endless amount of birthday parties.

Eternally remembered by son Nathan, wife Elvira, ex-wife Susan, father Cosme, brothers Raymond, Anthony, Jesse, and sisters, Teresa and Laura. Plus, many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death, mother Yolanda Carrasco and older brother Frankie Cristan.

Steve had an unquestionable love for family and friends. All the kids looked up to Steve for comfort and stability.

Memorial donations can be made by giving blood at your local blood bank.
