Stephen (Steve) William Grilz
STEPHEN (Steve) WILLIAM GRILZ
, age 63, of Sun Lakes Arizona, died on Monday, December 9th, 2019, in Chandler, after a lingering illness. Mr. Grilz was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and moved to Arizona with his family in 1961, at the age of 5.
Mr. Grilz graduated from Chandler High School. He played baseball for Chandler High School, Mesa Community College and Yavapai Community College. He was an accomplished bowler, golfer, and avid fisherman. Steve and his father, Laurance J. Grilz owned and operated L. Grilz Pool Service and Supply Inc., a family business in Chandler from 1976 – 2014.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother, June Carolyn Grilz and father, Laurance J. Grilz. He is survived by two daughters, Nicolette Wood and Lyndsie Kibler; his brother Gordon Grilz, and sister, Carol Collins; and grandchildren, Riley, Tanner, and Degan Kibler and Bentley Wood.
Services will be at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 739 W. Erie Street, Chandler, Arizona, on Saturday, December 21st @ 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd., Chandler, Arizona.
