Roy Clifton England

, 80, of Payson and Sun Lakes passed away November 4, 2017 in Chandler. Roy was born June 10, 1937 in Phoenix to Lorenzo and Faye England. He grew up in the East Valley and attended grade school in Chandler and Higley. He graduated from Chandler High School in 1956. He excelled in track and field at CHS and went on to attend ASU and held the long jump record there for a few years. He was also active in 4-H and FFA. He enjoyed hunting and exploring Arizona. He was drafted into the Army and served 2 years stateside. Roy retired from Salt River Project as a lineman. Roy is survived by 3 children, Dedra, Loren and Douglas; 6 grandchildren, Anthony, Andrea, Alicia, Lauren and Destiny. He is also survived by sisters, Pat Beach and Barbara Lutjen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his longtime friend and companion, June Schroeder of Sun Lakes. A visitation will be held at Bueler’s Mortuary on November 15, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00.
