Rosenda Trujillo Aldecoa,
a longtime and well-known resident of Queen Creek, AZ passed away April 27, 2016 at the Lund Home of Gilbert. She was 78 years old. Rosie, as she was known by friends and family, was born on June 4, 1937 in Gilbert to Waldo and Rosenda Aldecoa. Rosie was the ninth of seventeen children. As a family, the Aldecoas helped to grow and develop the area of Queen Creek from its agricultural roots to the city it is today. Rosie worked as a crew leader and manager at Schnepf Farms, running the seasonal growing, harvesting, and packing operations for potatoes, grapes, and onions. It was hard work and long days, but Rosie loved it. She became dear and lifelong friends with the Schnepf family, caring for both Ray and Thora Schnepf, as well as their three sons, as they grew up on the farm. Survivors include her brothers, Waldo Aldecoa, Ramon Aldecoa (Ruthie), and Ralph Aldecoa (Lucy); her sisters, Carmen Felix, Sara Sanchez (Jimmy), Gloria Chavez, Rafila Lopez (Ramon), Lupe Nieto (Richard), and Toni Valenzuela. Also included as family are Schnepf sons, Duane and Mark (Carrie) and Schnepf “grandchildren.” In addition, she has over 450 nieces and nephews who will miss their Aunt Rosie. Funeral services include a visitation Mon., May 2, from 4:00-9:00 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 20610 W. Ocotillo Road, Queen Creek AZ 85142. A funeral mass is planned for Tues., May 3, at 10:00 am also at the church. Interment will follow at San Tan Memorial Gardens at Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek. Arrangements by Bueler Chandler Mortuary
