Rick was born December 30

, 1955 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the youngest of three children born to Joyce Miller and Jim Smith. He grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona where he later started his family and raised his four daughters. Rick had an entrepreneur spirit and began his own business and afterward to help his mother run her business.

Rick will always be remembered as a kind hearted spirit who would help anyone in need.  Even though the depression ultimately took his life, we know he is now at rest without any pain.

Services will be held on Friday, August 2

at 1:00pm at Bueler Mortuary, 14 W Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Rick to Project Semi Colon to help raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention.
