Phyllis Lucille (Pavilionis) Simons

On September 22, 2023, Phyllis Lucille (Pavilionis) Simons passed away peacefully in her sleep.  She was 84 years old.  Phyllis was born in Chicago, Illinois to Clara (Jeresunas) and James Pavilionis on October 26, 1937.

Phyllis and her family moved to Arizona from St. Louis, Missouri in 1982.  She worked at Dobson High School for sixteen years as the Registrar before retiring in 1999.  Upon retirement, Phyllis and her husband traveled the world.   Phyllis was a long-time member of St. Stevens Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harold, her four children James Simons (Carolyn), Valerie Kretschman (Brian), Robert Simons (Nancy) and Cindy Sims, her five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Lafin.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, September 29

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul.
