Phillip Wheatley

Byron Phillip Wheatley “Phil” was born December 1, 1959 in Ajo, Arizona to Richard Larey Wheatley and Elenor Greene. He was their third child and baby brother to Sherre Snesko (John) and Ellen Whitcomb (Bear). Phil loved life and lived it to its fullest. Over his life Phil lived in Arizona, California, Illinois, Virginia and then returned to settle in Arizona in 1993. He met and married his eternal companion, Susan Kay Markert on May 23, 1987 in the Washington DC Temple. Together they have five wonderful children: Aarin Wheatley, Kayla Martinez (Gilbert), Jaycee Leslie (Rob), Shyla Wheatley, and Bryson Wheatley (Kaylyn). He has 7 grandchildren: Lincoln Powell, Knox Powell, True Powell, Banx Pinckard, Oaklee Leslie, Sutton Leslie, Brooks Wheatley and coming in February is Bennett Wheatley.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm and on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 9:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 21915 E. Cloud Road, Queen Creek, AZ 85142. 

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 10:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 21915 E. Cloud Road, Queen Creek, AZ 85142. Interment will follow at the San Tan Memorial Gardens at Schnepf Farms, 22425 E. Cloud Road, Queen Creek, AZ 85142.
