Michael Vukmir Jr.

Michael Vukmir Jr, 71, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away September 30, 2024, with his wife and daughter by his side. Born August 14, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, to Michailo Vukmir and Irmgard Schlette, he was one of 11 children they shared. He spent the early part of his life in the Chicagoland area. While there he worked as a manager in a manufacturing facility, where he developed long lasting friendships with his coworkers. 

In 1999, he moved to California for warmer weather, and to be with his beloved wife, Elizabeth, whom he was married to for 25 years. Mike and Liz both loved to travel and meet new people. During their marriage, many beautiful memories were made while traveling and also hosting numerous foreign exchange students, many of whom they continue to have long lasting friendships with. 

Mike leaves behind his beloved wife Elizabeth, his two children Christine and Michael, and 6 grandchildren, Aidan, Ella, Amelia, Andrew, Ava, and Mikey. 

He will be missed for his outgoing personality, love for his friends and family and always telling jokes. 

Per Mikes wishes, no services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring, in the Chicagoland area. 

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be sent to Tunnels to Towers or any Animal Shelter.
