Michael Gould South (Mick)
was born June 22, 1942, in Winslow, AZ. He grew up in South Phoenix and went to South Mountain High where he learned how to wrestle. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the North-Western states of Washington, Oregon, & Idaho from 1963 – 1965. He joined the U.S. Army reserves in January 1967 and was a lightweight vehicle driver. He was honorably discharged in November 1972. He worked as a salesman and then for SRP in the water management department for 28 yrs where he retired. He was an avid hunter and shared his passion with his kids, grandkids, and friends. He served in many calling for the church, but his favorite was working with the cub scouts.
Mick is survived by his wife: Barbara Taylor South, His Brothers: Terry (Melissa) South, Joe (Charlotte) South, Henry South. His Children: Wendi (Greg) Martin, Jodi Ruiz, Scott (Jenny) South, Todd (Rebecca) South, Kyle (Kristy) South, Ashleigh (Zebb) Shappell. Stepdaughters: Candy Sipes, Sandy (Bill) Braddock, Keli Blankenbaker 21 Grandchildren and 1 1/2 Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Dorsey Neil South and Z. Wavala Gould and His Brother Jerry (Julie) South.
