Maxine Hirschi Ballard
was born June 7, 1926 to David Milo and Allie DeMille Hirschi in Hurricane, Utah. She passed away in the presence of her three daughters Dec 24, 2017. She was 91 years old. She married James Lavan Ballard on her 20th birthday, June 7, 1946, in the St. George, UT temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jim and Maxine bought a cattle ranch in Clover Valley, Nevada in 1954 and raised their 4 children: Marilou, Patricia, James Milo, and Lois. Maxine is a cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother survived by her daughters; Marilou (Clinton Randall) of Chandler, AZ; Patricia (Dave Tranchell) of Springville, UT; Lois (John Pew) of Casa Grande, AZ; 14 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild coming soon. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her son, Jimmy; her parents, Milo and Allie Hirschi; brother, Fenton (Gwynn) Hirschi; and sister, Lois Hinckley. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 30, 2017, at 11 am at Pleasant 2nd Ward, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 800 W. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, AZ; with visitation from 9:30-10:30 am. Interment will be in the Clover Valley Cemetery, Clover Valley, Wells, NV, at 11 am, Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
