Mary Ann Glassman, age 72, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024. Born on March 25, 1952 in Chicago to Jacob and Mary Puhl, she grew up with a deep appreciation for life, love, and all things joyful - alongside her older brother Jim, older sister Karren, and a number too high to count of dear aunts, uncles and cousins.
She met her husband Barry while working together at Harris bank in Chicago. Their shared laughter and love built a beautiful life together, one filled with cherished memories that outshine the difficult times. They were blessed with their children Ryan and Lindsey, and her beloved son-in-law, Andy.
Above all, she adored being Nana to her two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Vivienne, who brought her boundless joy. Her “sweet grandbabies” were the light of her life.
A faithful daughter, wife, mother, Nana, sister, best friend, and Auntie Mimi, she will be missed by so many.
Though not related by blood, Mary Ann shared a bond with her dear friends that transcended friendship. To them, they were sisters in every way that mattered. Their connection, built on love, laughter, and shared life moments, will live on forever.
Mary Ann had a heart full of generosity and warmth. She loved nothing more than giving to others, whether through carefully selected gifts, thoughtful cards, or intricate crafts she made for life’s special moments. Her creativity and thoughtfulness will be deeply missed by the many friends whose lives she touched with her creations.
Her appreciation of music had a great influence on her children, and she could often be found listening to The Beach Boys, 90s country, or losing herself in the beauty of classical compositions. The simple joys of life—watching Hallmark Channel movies, sharing moments with her family, and attending to her loved ones—were what made her happiest.
She will be forever remembered for her kindness, her unwavering love, and her infectious smile. Her unshakable faith in Jesus brought her peace that surpassed all understanding during her final days. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain, safe in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, reunited with her parents, her aunts, her brother Jim, cousin Ricky - and so many more of the family she cherished and thought of daily.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm with a Memorial Service at 11:00 am at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225.
