Marilyn C. Emmett

Our beloved wife, mom and gramma returned to her Heavenly Father on February 3, 2018. She was an inspiration to all and had a loving, giving, kind spirit. She loved to sprinkle sunshine and “never met a stranger.” She loved our family very much and was a bright spot in our lives. Her greatest joy was being a mom and gramma. She was born in Cody, Wyoming and graduated from Byron High School. She was involved in band, student body and cheerleading.  She married the love of her life, Lyle, on November 30, 1963. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Mesa Arizona Temple on July 8, 1971. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved the gospel. We know that we will be with her once again as a family. She is survived by her loving husband; her children: Tami Emmett, Bret Emmett, Cory (Tricia) Emmett, and Trish Mercier. Her beautiful grandchildren: Brittni, Mason, Carly, Branden, Lyndsey, Cannon and Molly Emmett. Jeremy, Tyler and Tiffany Mercier. Her sister Francie (Mike) Crus and brother David (Maria) Cowley, many nieces, nephews and good friends. The family would like to thank the caregivers from Hospice of the Valley for the love and care they gave to her. A private graveside service will be held for her on February 9, 2018.
