Marie Louise Graller

 In loving memory of our dear mother Marie “Louise” Graller, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 16, 2025, in Chandler, Arizona.

Mom was born in 1926 in Detroit, Michigan to Alfred & Alberta LaMontagne; into a family of three older brothers, Clement, Harvey, and Orell, who have each predeceased her. Together they were raised in Detroit.

Mom married her teenage sweetheart, Eugene, and was a devoted wife to him for over 60 years. Eugene died in 2004.

Mom and dad retired to Arizona in 1986, where they were active members of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. They participated in the church "Yesterday’s Kids” club; helped with the weekly counting; and baked goods for church bazaars. 

Mom had a strong faith in God and led a life that reflected that faith. Until recent years when she could no longer drive, mom attended daily mass. She remained a faithful and daily prayer warrior until the end. 

Mom traveled to many parts of Canada and the U.S., from Hawaii to Florida (and points in between), to the Caribbean, Italy, and Switzerland.

Mom leaves behind a legacy of kindness, positivity, patience, and love of family and holidays. Mom will be remembered for baking and cooking delicious meals and treats for loved ones to enjoy. She created beautiful gifts and made all our holidays amazing.

Mom took great pride in, and had immense love for, her entire family. She is survived by her three children: Cary (Vilma) of Prescott Valley, Arizona; Patricia (Eric) of Ahwatukee, Arizona; and Deborah “Colette” (Richard) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 21 nieces; and 31 nephews.

Thanks again, mom, for everything -- we will truly miss your encouraging words, family life stories, smiles, hugs, phone calls, cards, and letters.

Your passing leaves a heartache that no one can heal, but your love leaves a memory that no one can steal.

A Funeral Mass celebrating mom’s life will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 3450 West Ray Road in Chandler, Arizona.

Preceding the mass, as mom requested, at about 9:30 we will pray the Rosary. The rosary will be followed by visitation until the start of mass. Inurnment will take place at 1:45 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1562 E. Baseline Road, in Mesa, Arizona.

The family would like to thank the care providers at Sunrise Senior Living in Chandler and Aegis Hospice for their loving and compassionate care in mom’s final years and months.
