Manuel E. Baldenegro

Manuel “Manny” E. Baldenegro

, 74, of Mesa, Arizona was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 6, 2016. Manuel was born on October 21, 1941 in Chandler, Arizona to Manuel and Joaquina Baldenegro. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Brianna (Shane) Simpson, and will forever be remembered as “Tata” to his three grandchildren Brooke, Savannah, and Adam. He will also be remembered by his brothers, Ray, David, Johnny, Henry, and Alex Baldenegro. Manuel was predeceased by his brothers, Jesse and Ruben Baldenegro.

In his off time, Manuel had a great passion for golf, weather it be watching or playing, he thoroughly enjoyed the game. He worked at Mesa Country Club for 45+ years, and had a great bond with the members he got to interact with on a daily basis. He made many friends over his years there, a couple he golfed with after he left. Each one had an impact in his life, and will hold a special place in his heart.

While golf was one of his passions, nothing exceeded his love for his grandchildren. They were his everything. Every time he was with them a sparkle would shine bright in his eyes, and he would have a smile from ear to ear. He enjoyed going on walks with them, taking them to the park, and doing puzzles or just coloring. Most of all he enjoyed talking about them, and showing pictures of them off to everyone he came in contact with.

His daughter was also one of his biggest loves. Before grandchildren his life revolved around his daughter, Brianna. He did any and all things for her, until the day he was called Home. He gave her the chance to be a stay at home mom, and be the one to raise and love on his grandchildren.

In his last year of life, he was able to go and live with his daughter and her family. To be around the ones he loved most on a daily basis brought him great joy through the hard times. His daughter was finally able to repay him for all he’d done for her. From the easy times, to the not so easy times, it was a blessing she will forever be grateful for.

Manuel lived the simple life, he didn’t need the luxuries of big and expensive things to make him happy. He enjoyed watching sports, going to the casino, and reading the Sunday paper. He is a man that will be missed by everyone.

A viewing will be held at Bueler Mortuary and Chapel on Tuesday, May 17th, at 6:30 PM. A graveside ceremony will be held at Valley of the Sun Cemetery on Wednesday, May 18th, at 9:00 AM.
