Lynne Carol (Cox) Brooks

was born to Orin J. Cox and E. Ruth Cox on September 24, 1944 in Berkeley, California. She called California home along with her parents and only sister Elaine (Cox) Ells; until she met Will Dallas Brooks Jr. (Bill) at Pasadena College in Pasadena, California.

Lynne and Bill were married in Van Nuys, California on March 27th 1965, at the First Church of the Nazarene.  Bill brought Lynne home to Chandler, Arizona, where they established their roots and started a family.

Lynne made a life being a wife, and mother to her sons Brentwood Todd, Matthew Scott and her daughter Devin Lynne. Lynne was a pillar of strength for her family and grandchildren Alexander, Ashley, Tatum, Brenna and Jillian.

Lynne played a pivotal role in service to the Chandler community by leading in numerous service projects at her home church, Chandler First Church of the Nazarene and Chandler Service Club.

Lynne brought beauty and creativity to all whose lives she touched.  She joined her Heavenly Father surrounded by her family on February 25, 2019. Lynne is survived by her beloved husband Bill, of nearly 55 years, her children Brentwood Todd (Bonnie Trotter Brooks), Devin Lynne Moreno (Mario Moreno) and Matthew Scott, Sister Elaine (Cox) Ells and her grandchildren Alexander Scott Brooks, Ashley Hunter Brooks, Tatum Jane Brooks, Brenna Mae Brooks, and Jillian Lynne Moreno and soon to arrive great grandson Dallas Alexander Brooks. She also leaves behind cherished extended family members.

Visitation will be held Monday March 4

th

at 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at Bueler Mortuary, located at 14 W. Hulet Dr, Chandler, AZ 85225.  The memorial service will be held on Tuesday March 5

th

at 10:00am at Chandler First Church of the Nazarene, located at 301 N. Hartford St., Chandler, AZ 85225.

In lieu of flowers the family would accept donations to the Lynne C. Brooks Education Foundation
