Lola Kay Caine

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our mother, Lola Kay Caine, age 81, who left us on Thursday, July 11, 2024, after a beautifully lived life, surrounded by her family. Full of love, laughter, and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Evelyn and Kerry R. Caine and leaves behind her sister, Dee Christiansen, her 3 children, Dina Peterson, Ann Rich, and Jared Hilderbrand, 11 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, along with countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity. Kay was an advocate for babies and children dedicating her time and resources to making clothes, blankets, and diaper bags for them. 

Having grown up in Northern California and Alaska, Kay became a lifelong lover of the outdoors, and found beauty in life’s simple moments and encouraged us all to do the same. 

A family prayer will be conducted on Monday at 4 p.m.
