passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. She will be cremated and services will be held at a later date.
Linda was born to Marlene and Richard Marxman on June 7, 1952, in Winslow, Arizona. The family subsequently moved to Chandler where she grew up. Linda is survived by her son, Brett Tafoya (Leticia), grandsons, Brett Jr., Branden, and Ethan, great-granddaughter, Shaandiin, mother, Marlene Marxman, siblings, Karen Miller, David Marxman, and Michael Marxman, and several nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Richard Marxman, husband, Cecil Tafoya, son, Michael Tafoya, grandparents, Edward and Lucille Wear, and Henry and Edna Marxman.
Growing up in Chandler, Linda attended Chandler schools, was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and was active in Girl Scouts. She went to cosmetology school and worked in this field for over 30 years. Linda married Cecil Tafoya in November of 1979. They had a son, Brett, and then adopted their son Michael.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that a donation be made to Phoenix Dream Center in Linda’s honor. The address and website are;
