, 2021, in a motor vehicle accident.

Kat is survived by her parents, Curtis and Kristi Bergen, her sweetheart Devon Larson Maffeo, and her siblings, Britt, (Kyle) Dewey, Marshall (Brittany Lynn) Bergen, Lars Bergen, Grant Bergen, Craig Bergen, and 3 nieces and  6 nephews. Kathrine is also survived by many friends and extended family.

Kathrine was born in Mesa, Arizona in 1998 and died in Tempe, Arizona 2021. She attended school in Mesa, Arizona and graduated from Mesa, Mountain View High School in 2015. Kat attended Mesa Community College. Kathrine loved riding her motorcycle, reading, animals, crafts, and serving others. She was goal oriented and put others in front of herself. Kathrine worked at a Crisis Call Center, where she did COVID tracing. Kat faced challenges in her life but overcame. She was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous in good standing: A willing sponsee. An available sponsor who actively carried the message to the alcoholic who was still suffering, sharing her experience, strength, and hope.

Kathrine was loved by many; people often remarked that she was the most loving, compassionate person they knew. Kathrine’s priority was the welfare of others. Kat never met someone she didn’t show kindness and love to.

Kat will be remembered as a loving sister and daughter. She was a mother to all and an angel of mercy to many. Her motto was ‘love is the answer’.
