, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed from this life on November 5, 2021.
Karen was born July 9, 1948, in Bayonne, New Jersey to Vincent and Dorothy Thresten, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Thomas McDermott, D.D.S., her two sons Thomas McDermott, Esq. and Blaise McDermott, her daughters-in-law Laura McDermott and Danielle McDermott, and lastly by the love of her life and grandson, Michael McDermott. All reside in Chandler, Arizona.
Karen is a graduate of Plymouth High School, class of 1966. Karen worked at Temple Dental School, Pediatric Department, from 1972 to 1976. In addition to taking care of the McDermott family and raising two great young men, she acted as her husband’s office manager until retirement.
The funeral Mass for Karen will be held at 10 am on November 17, 2021, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Sun Lakes, Arizona. She will be interred at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Mesa, Arizona.
