Judi Besch, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 21, 1959, in Buffalo, New York, Judi eventually made her home in Arizona, bringing with her a warmth and kindness that touched everyone she met.
Judi was the devoted wife of Jack, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Her greatest pride and joy were her two sons and their wives, Tyler and Megan, Colin and Elyse, and her heart overflowed with love for her four grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kennedy, Benson, and Finley. For Judi, family was everything, and her happiest moments were spent surrounded by those she loved most. Judi has departed this life to be in the loving embrace of her father, Robert Heidenger, and is survived by her mother, Alberta and her three sisters, Mary Beth, Laurie and Kristen.
Judi loved counted cross-stitch, most memorably displayed in the beautiful Christmas stockings she made for her entire family and closest friends—heirlooms that will continue to warm hearts and mantles for years to come. Her generosity was unmatched, and her spirit shone through in the many family traditions she cherished and nurtured.
Judi was also an avid sports fan and bowler, always supporting her kids in their athletic adventures while also never missing a chance to cheer on her favorite teams. Later in life, Judi's heart expanded further as she became a dog mom to Lindy and Taffy, who brought her endless joy and companionship.
Her legacy of love, generosity, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. While Judi may be gone, the warmth of her spirit and the traditions she established will forever remain a part of those she loved.
A Celebration of Judi’s life will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the Cottonwood Country Club Saguaro Room, 25630 S. Brentwood Drive, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248. This will be a casual, open house event, where family and friends are invited to share memories, laughter, and love—just as Judi would have wanted. A second celebration will be held in Buffalo, New York sometime in the coming months, details will be provided when available.
She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family kindly requests donations to Hospice of the Valley in Judi's memory.
