Juana "Jenny" Hernandez

Juana “Jenny” Hernandez, was born March 18, 1945 in Globe, Arizona and passed peacefully November 14th, 2024. She was 79 years old.

Jenny was the daughter of Juan and Maltilde Tapia, she was the fourth of five children. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Luis Hernandez, and her three children, Cecilia, Luis Angel, and Leticia. Jenny is also survived by her grandchildren, Alexis, Carissa, Lorenzo, Bianca, Ruben, Alycia, and Santos, as well as her sister Lupe Espinoza. 

Jenny grew up on a ranch in Gilbert, Arizona and graduated from Gilbert High School. She went on to pursue beauty school and became a hairdresser. Not only was she great at her craft but she also loved what she did, as she made life-long friends along the way. 

Jenny loved music, dancing, food, traveling to Puerto Penasco with her husband, and spending time with her loved ones. She would always be found laughing, drinking her coffee, and joking in her home. She was greatly loved and admired by her family and friends and anyone who had the privilege of meeting her. She was the warmth and heart of her family and she will be deeply missed. 

Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, and three older brothers, Juan Pedro, Miguel, and Manuel Tapia.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm with a Rosary at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, Arizona. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 230 W. Galveston Street, Chandler, Arizona 85225. Interment will follow at the Mesa City Cemetery, 1212 N. Center Street, Mesa, Arizona 85201.
