Juan Apolinar Rendon, a dedicated husband, father, brother, and son, has passed away at the age of 89. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.
Born on September 23, 1934, in Laredo, Texas, Juan was the son of Florencio Jr. and Margarita Rendon. After graduating from high school, Juan served his country with honor and distinction as a member of the United States Air Force for 20 years. As part of his service, he traveled all over the world including living in Saudi Arabia with his wife and children. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant before retiring from Williams Air Force Base in Arizona in 1973. His military service was marked by commitment and sacrifice.
After retiring from the Air Force, Juan worked for the US Postal Service and Arizona State University as a mail clerk until his retirement.
Juan found great joy in immersing himself in western historical reenactments. He had a deep interest in reliving moments that defined our nation's history. Through dressing up in period-appropriate attire and engaging in these reenactments, Juan felt a profound connection to those who came before us.
Juan is preceded in death by his parents, both spouses Rafaela and Alice, his son Victor, his brother Louis and his sister Amanda. Juan is survived by his daughter Marilu, son Juan, sister Amelia, and grandchildren Rafaela and Victor.
