Joseph Ronald Galowitch

Joseph Ronald Galowitch

passed away peacefully on April 4, 2020 by the side of his loving wife of 43 years, Cynthia and their sons Gregory and David. Joseph was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 20, 1944 to John & Mathilda Galowitch and was sibling to Patricia, Gregory, Judy, Jeri, and Paul. He was a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle & friend to countless people.

Joseph grew up in Cook County before joining the Army in 1961, serving as a heavy equipment operator/mechanic until 1967. After his Honorable discharge from the Army, he also joined the Navy Reserves from 1977-1979. Joe and Cindy married in 1977, putting God first, and family next. He continued working passionately in the trucking industry, attaining several awards and eventually building their own fleet of trucks which they successfully operated for 11 years. God blessed them with two boys which lead Joe to transfer from traveling over the road to taking a position with Rockford Kenworth in Illinois as their Used Truck Sales Manager in order to be home with his family more. In 1998, he accepted a position in Phoenix, Arizona as Corporate Used Truck Manager for Inland Kenworth, using his endless knowledge of heavy equipment and his gift of salesmanship to excel. He faithfully served on the Advisory Counsel for the National Used Truck Association and was very honored to be awarded “Dealer of the Year” in 2012, as well as “Lifetime Achievement Award” in 2014.

Joe was loved by so many people because he loved so many people. Everywhere he went, he used his uncanny gift to make new friends and could always make people feel valued with his smile. We are forever blessed to have so many happy memories to cherish in our hearts. His faith in God and his love for others led him to obtain vast knowledge in life that allowed him to succeed in life and business. He would always say to us “Remember…No Regrets”, and also “My God first, my Family, and my Country”.

Joe’s memorial service is scheduled for Friday, June 19 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona (Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery), 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ. In light of the current pandemic, time & details will follow.
