Jordan Jefferson Jr. of Chandler, Arizona, passed away on November 28 2024, at the age of 93. Born on April 12, 1931, in Yazoo City, Mississippi, to his parents Jordan Jefferson and Nancy Cynthia Delaney. Jordan lived a life marked by dedication to his family, career, and service to his country.
He was a high school graduate and went on to proudly serve in the United States Army, a testament to his commitment to his country and community. Jordan had a long and fulfilling career as a truck driver, a profession that allowed him to see many parts of the country while providing for his family.
Throughout his life, Jordan took great pride in being a lifelong member of the Prince Hall Freemasonry Fraternity, showcasing his values of brotherhood and service to others.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lou Emma Jefferson of more than 60 years; his children, Sheila Smith (Jessie), Keith Jefferson, Nancy Junge (Ted), Angela Jefferson, and Sonja Smith (Greg); his granddaughter, Marliss Jefferson(Garrett); his grandsons, Brandon Jefferson-Junge and Ashton Barnett; as well as his great-grandchildren, Zoey and Zayn.
The graveside service for Jordan Jefferson Jr. will be held on Wednesday December 11, 2024, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, starting at 1:30 PM.
Jordan will be deeply missed by his loving family and all who knew him.
