He was rockhound and loved going camping on the weekends. He left behind a wife of 53 years, Diane Courtney. He had five children, Keli (Edwin) Figueroa, Kyle Courtney (deceased), Therese Courtney, Trent Courtney and Shaun (Cara) Courtney. He had 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. One sister, Nedra Bialek and 4 nieces and 1 nephew.
