John Cevedia

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of John Mendez Cevedia on October 13, 2024, at the age of 74, after a long battle with cancer. Born on August 29, 1950, in Douglas, Arizona, John was a beloved husband for 54 years, a devoted father and grandfather, and a faithful servant of God.  

John is survived by members of his family including his wife, Mary Cevedia; two children, Melissa and Derek; two grandchildren, Areana and Sophia; and two great-grandchildren, Angelina and Scarlett, as well as other cherished relatives, and his religious brothers and sisters. He is preceded in death by his big-hearted son, Johnny B. Cevedia.  

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. - Noon. Services will take place at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 630 W. Chandler Boulevard, Chandler, AZ 85225.  

John will be deeply missed by all those who knew him, but his immediate family will especially miss his silliness, creative abilities, and his passion for music.
