JoAnn F. Sind
, 82 – Long-time resident of the Detroit, MI area, entered eternal life October 18, 2019, at The Enclave of Gilbert, AZ.
JoAnn was born March 18, 1937, in Youngstown, OH to Francis and Mary (Ranke) O’Connor. On August 26, 1961, she married William J. Sind, Jr. A graduate of Madonna College, she taught grade school in the Archdiocese of Detroit, worked as secretary for the Gratiot Vicariate for 20 years, and as an Administrative Specialist with Regina High School. From 1994 until his passing in 2007, JoAnn and Bill split their time between their home in Lakeland, FL and their cottage in Leamington, ON. JoAnn then relocated to San Tan Valley, AZ where she relished the warm weather and nearby family. JoAnn was a talented artist with a passion for ceramics, charcoal sketching, and sewing. She will be remembered for her generosity, hard-working spirit, and creative artistic ability.
She is predeceased by her husband, William “Bill”; sister Dolores Hahn; brothers, John and William (late Nell) O’Connor. She is survived by her children, Lisa (Joseph) Manzella, Paula (Gregory) Prunier, Jacqueline(Robert) Haek; and William (Shana) Sind; grandchildren, Joseph II (Courtney) Manzella, Anthony Manzella, Edward Prunier, Kelsey Prunier, Jack Haek, Ashley Haek, and William Sind; and great-grandson Leonardo Manzella; aunt Dorothy (late Victor) Ranke; sisters, Mary Catherine (J. Kenneth) Cashion, Patricia O’Connor, and Marilyn (late Hon. Thomas) McDonell; sister-in-law Catherine (late James) Wooldridge, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, all of whom brought great joy to her later years in life.

The Bueler Funeral Services of Chandler, AZ, has been entrusted with arrangements. A memorial mass and interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Twp., MI, will be celebrated in the Spring.
