Jeffery Scott Kvavle, 63, passed away peacefully in the company of his beloved wife, sister, son, and daughter-in-law on August 5
th
, 2021. He fought a courageous battle with brain cancer and showed an extraordinary will to live and to love his family.
Family and friends will gather for his funeral on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 10 S. Twelve Oaks Blvd, Chandler, AZ 85226.
Jeff was born on October 23
rd
, 1957, in Portland, Oregon to Marjorie and Robert Kvavle. After growing up on the family farm, Jeff went on to attend BYU where he met his wife, Sabrina Vanderhoof, to whom he has been married 39 years. Together they have four children and 12 grandchildren.
Survivors include, his wife, Sabrina; their children, Kiersten Davis and her husband, Mark; Katie Nelson and her husband, Stephen; Amanda Gray and her husband, Blake; Scott and his wife, Jennifer; grandchildren; Parker, Paige, Sarah, and Alice Nelson; John, Wyatt, Henry, and Luke Davis, Ruby, Brandon, Jack, and June Gray; siblings; Stephen Kvavle and wife, Kathleen; Sue White and husband, Keith; Nancy Vent and husband, Mark; Laura Maxwell and husband, Tom; David Kvavle and wife, Ivelisse.
As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in many capacities within the church, including a full-time mission to Pennsylvania. One of his most notable callings was serving as bishop in the Twelve Oak’s 1
st
ward where he touched the lives of many. Jeff loved wood working, pen making, reading, and gardening.
Jeff always had a special place in his heart for his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a phenomenal grandfather who made each grandchild feel special and hold “grandpa’s house” as a sacred place. He will be forever loved, missed, and remembered fondly as “grandpa”.
