James Lee Woods

On November 22, 1967 James Lee Woods was born to parents Billy Gene Woods Sr. and Florence Evelyn Lacy in Chandler, Arizona. James grew up in Chandler, Arizona receiving his high school diploma from Chandler High School in 1986. James spent his work career as a landscaper spending 10 years at the Chandler School District and Westminster Village. James was married to Connie Arbuckle in 2010 in Chandler, Arizona.

James was a loving, funny, caring, and an outgoing man always having a smile on his face. You could find James playing dominos with friends and family as a favorite past time. James was also a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan as many knew and could catch him watching the game every Sunday. James was a father to four children, three sons and a daughter, Candice, Jordan, Isaac and a stepson Devin. James was a devoted and proud father and always spoke highly of his children.

James departed this life on February 13, 2024, but was preceded in death by his mother Florence, father Billy Gene, brothers and sisters Lamont, Clarence, Johnnie, Angela, Almalene, Robbie and mother to his children (Candice & Jordan) Lori Buddenhagen. 

James is survived by wife Connie Arbuckle-Woods, daughter Candice Woods, son Jordan Buddenhagen, son Isaac Vargas, stepson Devin Dorsey, brothers Bobby, Billy Gene Jr (Coco), sisters Diane, Zandrea (Bam), Edna and Betty. James was loved by many people and will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 10:00 am at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ. Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden Rd, Scottsdale.
