James (Jim) Winslow Vycital

Born May 25, 1928 in Alamota, Kansas went to be with the Lord on April 30, 2016; survived by sister Joan “Toots” Trebilcock, Wife of 24 years Norma Carlton-Vycital, three children from first marriage with Alma; Ken Vycital, Susan Vycital, MaryLu Schipper (Steve), two Step-children Ronnie (Ruth Ann) Carlton and David (Patty) Carlton and Six Grandchildren: Brian & Emily Vycital (Ken), Katie & Megan Schipper (MaryLu & Steve) and Nathan & Will Carlton (Ronnie & Ruth Ann).

Jim married his first wife Alma of 42 years prior to entering the Korean War active duty as a Private First Class and was soon promoted to Sergeant First Class. He was awarded _____metals____________… Moving his family to Arizona in 1971 from Colorado Springs, CO and retired from Arizona Bank after 25 years. Alma went to be with the Lord in 1990. In 1992 married Norma Carlton and traveled extensively visiting many national parks and an untold number of Rodeos and multiple Civil War Battlefields. Throughout his life Jim actively participated in the church choir most recently at First Baptist Church of Sun Lakes. Music was a talent and gift he enjoyed from the time of his first trumpet playing in high school. Another passion he enjoyed with Norma was horseback riding and attending Rodeos from Arizona to Canada. He was loved by his family and friends and will be missed immensely.
