, 93, a longtime resident of Chandler, AZ passed away peacefully on May 3rd, 2021 in Safford AZ. Marie was born February 14th 1928 in Manilla Arkansas to Arthur Carlton and Pearlie Tucker. She moved to Chandler in 1942 with her family and attended Chandler schools. During her teen years she worked at the Chandler telephone company as an operator. She also worked at Duddings Rexall Drug store making milkshakes. In 1945 she met the love of her life, Corley Haggarton while he was home on leave from the Navy. After graduation Marie and Corley were married on Oct 11th 1947. She became a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and held many callings. She was active in the Chandler Historical Society along with Corely. She is survived by her daughter Carole Metcalf (Ray), son Dwight (Shelly) 15 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren. Brother Philip Holden (Doris) of Riverside, California. She is preceded in death by her husband Corley of 70 years and their son Jon. 3 brothers, 1 sister and her parents. Services will be held Saturday, May 15th at 10:45am at Bueler Mortuary 14 W. Hulet Dr. Chandler, AZ 85225. viewing 1 hour prior to service 9-10:30am.
