Fredda Mae Brown

Beloved wife and mother Fredda Mae Brown of Gilbert Arizona, passed away on Monday, February 19^th, 2024 at Banner Desert Hospital at the age of 82.
 
Born in Bald Knob Arkansas, March 21^st, 1941 to Fred and Ida Cooley, Fredda contracted Rheumatic fever at the age of 6 spending many months alone in a Little Rock Hospital.  The illness gave her lifelong heart issues and challenges.  Nevertheless, she endured those challenges and lead a full, loving, Christian life.  At 13, Fredda encountered a young boy at church named Clarence Brown.  Clarence, at first sight, thought she was the most beautiful girl in both appearance and soul that he would ever meet.  They married on June 17^th, 1960.
 
Fredda was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister Nadine Roland, sister Floretta Dotson, brother Raymond Cooley, daughter Tamera Diane Brown, son Clarence Micheal Brown, son Steven Jason Brown, and grandson Caleb Todd Brown.
 
Fredda is survived by her loving husband Clarence Webster Brown, son Keith Todd Brown,  daughter Lois Joan Brown, grandson Joshua Keith Brown, granddaughter Alyssa Marie Thompson, great grandchildren Joseph Thompson and Lucinda Thompson, brothers John and Eddie Cooley, sisters Katherine Marstein, Lucille Beaver, and Virginia Steinhelpert.
 
Fredda cherished her children and husband as a faithful Christian mother and wife while enduring the eventual loss of all but one child. “Grandma” took every opportunity to show her love for Joshua and Alyssa.  She was radiant with joy at Alyssa’s wedding.  “GG” cherished every moment with her great grandchildren, more than the air that she breathed.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. at Sun Valley Church of Christ, 1015 N. Recker Road, Gilbert, AZ 85234. Interment will follow at 12:30 P.M. at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, AZ 85248.
