Frank (Skip) Honsik

, 69, passed away in Chandler, AZ on May 17, 2017 from complications while undergoing cancer treatment.

He is survived by his adult children, Justin Dawson, Andy Dawson, Katherine Honsik and David Honsik and his brother Bruce.

Now gone are parents Frank Honsik MD and Alice Honsik.

He also has cousins Robert and Ann on his father’s side, and cousins Paula, Kirk Barbara, Lisa and Amy on his mother’s side along with his Aunt Mae.

Skip was born in Great Lakes, IL but lived in AZ most of his life.

He retired as a Water Operations Supervisor with Salt River Project after 38 years of service.

He had a love of the outdoors, especially the White Mountains of Arizona where he spent much time hunting, fishing and camping with his white German Shepard dogs.

A closed casket viewing will begin at 9 AM Friday, May 26, at Bueler Chandler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Dr, Chandler, followed by a 10 AM service.

There will then be a brief service at the Paradise Memorial Gardens Cemetery in north Scottsdale, 9300 E. Shea Blvd, around 11:30 AM then a gathering in south Chandler for friends and family at his son’s home.

Directions will be given at the service or please call the family or someone attending for the address.

Skip had many close friends and once you were his friend, you were a friend for life. His family and friends will all miss Skip deeply.
