Edelia G. Lugo

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our mother, Edelia G. Lugo, 82, who passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, in her home surrounded by her loving family in Chandler, Arizona.

Edelia was born on July 27, 1941, to Francisco and Carlota Guerrero in Mesa, Arizona. She was a loving and carrying wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. Our mom was the perfect definition of “unconditional love”, and she touched the lives of all who knew her.

One of Edelia’s most memorable pastimes was watching her two favorite sports teams, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Phoenix Suns with her family.

Edelia is survived by her husband, Manuel Lugo Sr.; sons, Manny Lugo Jr. and Adrian Lugo Sr.; grandchildren, Madilyn Chevere, Manuel Lugo III and Adrian “Papi” Lugo Jr. (Danielle); siblings Lupe Guerrero, Ray Guerrero, Arnold Guerrero, Rosie Vega, Francis Madril and Mary Figueroa. Preceded in death by brother Adam Guerrero.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 230 W. Galveston Street, Chandler, Arizona 85225.
