Dorothy R. Hatch

Dorothy Ray Hatch, 91, of Apache Junction, AZ died February 11, 2016 at her home. Dorothy was born in Francisco, Indiana to Wesley and Grace Brown, and moved to Glendale, AZ with her family at the age of six. She attended ASU, where she met Leonard Hatch, and they were married in 1947. She earned a degree in education from NAU in 1965, and taught elementary school in Seligman, Holbrook , Queen Creek and Apache Junction for 27 years. She is survived by seven children: Norece Hatch (Nivla), Darnel Brown (Tom), Ray Hatch (Rose), Ross Hatch (Karen), Don Hatch (Kay), Gwyn Hatch, and Lynn Romney (Jess); as well as 67 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are planned for Sat., Feb. 20, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2520 E. Old West Highway 89, Apache Junction 85119. Visitation will be from 9-9:45 am, with the funeral at 10 am. Interment will be in the Woodruff, AZ Cemetery.
