Diana Louise Anderson

Diana Louise Anderson passed away in Chandler, Arizona on December 24th, 2024, at Chandler Regional Hospital comforted by her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, William Anderson, their two children, Matthew Anderson, and Stephanie Anderson, and their three grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Linda Seeley. Diana was preceded in death by her Mother Willa Mae and her sister Nancy.

Diana was born in Tulsa Oklahoma on August 24th, 1946 and is one of four daughters of Willa Mae Oplinger.

Diana moved to Phoenix, Arizona as a young girl. Often a caregiver to her sisters, she learned to be self-sufficient and independent early on. She met Bill while working at the then "Arizona Bank". She was quoted as saying, "He was attractive, but I would never date someone like him."

Bill and Diana were married on November 15th, 1969. 

Diana took her expertise to several law firms in the valley and finally settled in as an administrative assistant with Good Samaritan hospital, then later with Desert Samaritan. 

In the mid 70's Bill was transferred to the Tucson area, and Diana easily found a home as the Medical Staff Secretary for Tucson General Hospital. Wanting more opportunity and flexibility Diana left the medical field and became a Real Estate agent with the Tucson Realty Group. Diana excelled in Real Estate and there she made many of her lifelong friends. 

Diana desperately wanted a family, and with medical specialists unable to provide alternatives, Bill and Diana joined the adoption registry. In early December 1981, Diana was contacted for the placement of a baby boy. She knew that day she was finally going to be a mother. 

Diana's faith in God and her service in that faith had brought her a son, and then four years later she gave birth to a daughter. 

Diana left Real Estate for a time to be a mother. Then Bill's work brought them back to Phoenix and there Diana decided to go back into the medical field, this time as a school nurse. She worked nights at a Chevron gas station and studied in her free time. She eventually earned her EMT certifications and went to work at the local middle school. 

Diana spent the next years juggling gymnastics and swim teams, faith and practice, Wife and Mother. She was happiest in service to others. She was always quick to remind her children how proud she was of them.
