ise Morrow DeYoung

Denise was born on September 28th, 1956 and died on August 28th, 2017 in Chandler, AZ. Denise was an amazing woman, wife, and mother. She was loved and will be missed by her friends and all of her family. She is survived by her husband Steve DeYoung, daughter Deirdre Hawash (Jamal), son Michael DeYoung, and grandchildren Daphne & Drake Hawash. Also survived by a multitude of cousins who were an important part of her extended family life. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Helen Morrow, and her brothers David Morrow, and Ken Morrow. Denise was a native to Arizona, born to Roy and Helen Morrow. She loved to cook, craft and garden. She was a creative chef in the kitchen always coming up with fun recipes for her family to enjoy. She was a lifelong learner and loved to read and take classes on a broad range of topics. She also loved the beauty that surrounds us in Arizona. She might tell you that she enjoyed camping, but truth be told for her, camping was defined as having shelter that included four walls, a roof, and indoor plumbing with a shower!

Friends & family are invited to join us in a memorial service on Saturday, September 16th, 2017 at 2 p.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church at 2213 N. Lindsey Rd. Mesa, AZ 85213. There will be a reception to follow where we will serve light refreshments and enjoy memories of Denise. Cards and flowers can be sent to Deirdre Hawash at 3403 East Riverdale St. Mesa, AZ 85213.

We would also like to thankfully acknowledge the care and support provided by the staff at Villa Jean Group Home, and Saragosa House where Denise lived for the past 8 years. We would also like to thank Hospice of the Valley for their tremendous support over the past several months.
