In the early morning hours of June 30th, surrounded by her family, our beautiful, loud, fierce Dena Ellice Davis Hunt passed away peacefully. Dena fought an enormous battle with congestive heart failure and multiple myeloma. Dena was always the life of the party and that’s exactly how she spent her final moments with her family.
She was born
on the 5th of February
in 1969. She is survived by her father Clark T Davis, step-mother Dianne Davis, her daughter Hannah Hunt, her son Aidan Hunt, and siblings Melonie (Leon) Noel, Damon (Jeanne) Davis, Craig Davis, and Mike (Chelsey) Davis, as well as a whole crowd of nieces and nephews. She was greeted at the pearly white gates by her mother Mary Ellen Braziel Davis and all her grandparents, as well as her beloved dog Marley.
Dena was a fierce loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to so many. Any one who ever met Dena could hear her across the room and know it was her by the laugh. She spent 25+ years doing what she loved everyday, teaching elementary kids English. She was our English professional; correcting the families grammar, and teaching the nieces and nephews phonemes.
Dena will be missed by many on this earth, but she will never be forgotten. You will always hear her in a crowd, and feel her in your heart.
