Colleen Schroeck

Mrs. Colleen Schroeck, 97, passed on September 24, 2024. Born November 17, 1926 in West Virginia. Mrs. Schroeck was the daughter of the late Reba and Julius Wendell. 

She was very involved in theater, loving singing and dancing in grade school. She had one sister, Delores Fox with whom she was very close. She lived an adventurous life of travel and socializing until ultimately meeting her life long husband, the late Lt. Col. Fred Schroeck. She relished in the social aspects of military life where she made a lot of close friends and loved to entertain. 

Her true passion was motherhood, she was always there when needed, offering lots of support, wisdom and love in abundance. 

Colleen later started a career in real estate, earning her license in 1982 and working for Century 21 where she met many dear friends. Colleen also belonged to The Red Hat Club and The Officers Wives Club. A friend to many, she was adored by all who met her. 

She had five children, the late Steve George and survivors, daughters Judy Newman, Tina Morrison, and Tracy Ortiz and son John Schroeck. She will be deeply missed. May God rest her soul.
