Clyde Leslie Davidson
, our beloved father, passed away on Friday May 1, 2020. He had a passion for playing tennis, entertaining friends and family, and puttering in his yard to keep it beautiful. He was a very quick-witted, charismatic man with a big heart for people and animals. He had the uncanny ability to make conversation with anyone and establish life-long friendships with his genuine interest and inquisitive nature, and always the life of the party.
He worked as a box boy moving up to assistant manager with Clark’s grocery market in Manhattan Beach, California. He was recruited for a sales position at Gerber Products Company, and was then promoted to regional manager under Arnie Anderson, his long-time friend. Both Clyde and Arnie retired to Sun Lakes, Arizona. In retirement, dad drove a school bus for the Chandler school district for several years and loved interacting with all of the children.
He is survived by his daughters Catherine De Pass and husband Ernie, Deborah Jones and husband Mitch, grandson Brent Jones, wife Hilary and great grand-daughter Mara, granddaughter Jeanette Boring and husband Mike, and first wife Jean Arnold (mother of his two daughters) and second wife Susan Davidson.
We are looking forward to the day we can reunite with our dad in heaven.
