Clemente N. Torres

Clemente N. Torres made his way to Chandler, Arizona from Texas in 1952, accompanied by his wife, Anita Camarillo Torres, and their firstborn child, Anita Torres. Together, they built a life that spanned more than 70 years of marriage and the raising of ten children. Nine girls and one son! Sadly, Clemente’s beloved wife, Anita, passed away just four months prior to him.

A lover of Western films, Clemente dreamed of becoming an actor. Though life’s many responsibilities kept him busy, he fulfilled his passion for the genre by participating in weekend Western stunts and vignettes at Apache Land, performing in Civil War reenactments, and riding in parades as various iconic Western characters. 

Clemente was a man of immense character, known for his honor, dedication, and an unmatched work ethic. He was proud to be a long-time friend of Eddie Basha and worked for the Basha Company for over 40 years.

Clemente’s legacy lives on through his ten children, as well as his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May our beloved father rest in peace. Hasta Luego, Dad!

A Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 230 W. Galveston Street, Chandler, AZ 85225. Interment will follow at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, AZ 85248.
